Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website at coastalplumbingprofessionals.com and the engagement of plumbing services provided by Coastal Plumbing Professionals Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “the Company”). By using our website or booking our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Our Services

We provide residential and commercial plumbing services across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Northern NSW. Services include but are not limited to blocked drain clearing, hot water system installation and repair, leak detection, gas fitting, and general plumbing maintenance.

All work is carried out by licensed plumbers holding current Queensland plumbing licences in accordance with the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018 (Qld) and the requirements of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC).

2. Quotations and Pricing

• Quotes provided over the phone or online are estimates only and are subject to change upon site inspection.
• A firm, written quote will be provided prior to commencing any work where costs exceed a minor repair threshold.
• Any variations to scope of work that arise during the job will be communicated to you before proceeding, and agreed costs will be confirmed in writing where practicable.
• Call-out fees may apply to emergency or after-hours services. These will be disclosed prior to dispatch where possible.

3. Payment

• Payment is due on completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We accept cash, credit/debit card, and bank transfer.
• Invoices not paid within 14 days of the due date may attract late payment interest and debt recovery costs.
• For large jobs, we reserve the right to require a deposit before commencing work.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• You may cancel or reschedule a booking without charge by giving us at least 24 hours notice.
• Cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment may incur a cancellation fee to cover attendance costs.
• Emergency call-outs cancelled after a plumber has been dispatched will be charged the applicable call-out fee.

5. Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our work. All labour carried out by our plumbers is warranted against defects for a period of 12 months from the date of completion, provided that:

• The issue arises from defective workmanship (not damage caused by third parties, misuse, or pre-existing conditions)
• We are notified promptly upon discovery of the defect
• The work has not been modified or interfered with by another party

Manufacturer warranties apply separately to parts and materials supplied. We will facilitate warranty claims where applicable.

This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Your Obligations

You agree to:

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the work site at the agreed appointment time
• Ensure animals and children are secured away from the work area
• Disclose any known hazards at the property (e.g. asbestos, gas leaks, previous water damage)
• Not interfere with work in progress without our prior agreement

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Our liability for any claim arising from services provided is limited to the cost of re-performing the relevant service or refunding the amount paid for that service
• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss (including loss of income, data, or opportunity) arising from our services or your use of this website
• We are not liable for pre-existing defects, damage caused by events outside our control (including blocked drains caused by external tree root ingress after completion of work), or damage resulting from your failure to follow our recommendations

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes relating to building work may be escalated to the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) at qbcc.qld.gov.au or by calling 139 333.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Both parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available at coastalplumbingprofessionals.com/terms-and-conditions. Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
